§ 03

What I actually do

Most projects need all three. I can take one piece or run the whole thing.

01

Design

Brand, layout, and visual systems that stay legible and load fast. I work with your existing colors or build a fresh identity, and accessibility is there from the first sketch.

02

Development

WordPress, WooCommerce, and custom builds. Clean front-end code, sensible content models, and sites you or your team can actually maintain.

03

Words

I am a working journalist. I write the copy, the case, and the content, so the finished site has something worth reading and points people where you need them.

Pioneer International

The problem
This medical-instrument retailer needed a full overhaul to support a growing online business.
What I did
Co-led the redesign on WordPress and WooCommerce: rebuilt the product catalog, improved navigation, wrote front-end code, and optimized product pages for search.
The new site became their primary sales channel.

§ 06

Graphic design

Logos, brand graphics, and print work for organizers and small makers around Madison.

About

I care as much about what a site says as how it looks, and I build both.

I am a web designer, developer, and writer based in Madison, Wisconsin. For more than ten years I have built accessible, content-first websites for businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations on WordPress, WooCommerce, and custom platforms. Being a published journalist shapes how I work: I want every project to be legible, fast, and genuinely usable by as many people as possible.

  • Accessible by default
  • Content-first
  • Built to maintain
  • Honest about scope
